Our client, a private equity-backed D2C e-commerce pet food retailer, was looking to build a brand-new business. With extensive experience in pet food marketing and brand management, our client had identified an opportunity to differentiate their offering from competitors by highly personalizing the dog food shopping experience, but they were unsure what technology infrastructure was required to enable their business model, and needed assistance in the evaluation and selection of technology partners and solutions. Additionally, they were unsure how to plan and execute the implementation of these platforms and business processes.
Aspirant began our engagement by helping our client to clearly define and document what capabilities were necessary to support their vision. From there, we were able to canvass existing technology platforms and solution providers, evaluate those solutions against needed capabilities, and ultimately recommend the best solutions for their business. After helping our client through the evaluation, selection, and contracting processes, we developed a detailed implementation roadmap to outline the workstreams and resources necessary to achieve their desired operating environment, and Aspirant led that execution effort through their go-live.
