Due to multiple acquisitions, our client, a major network services company, needed to aggregate and report financial and shipping data stored in multiple ERP systems, as well as business processes and data structure. To address these problems, our team had to define standard operating processes, perform data normalization, and deduplication. We also had to make sure the system supported different vendors and versions of the ERPs.
Our team developed the application with N Tier architecture running on a high availability SQL Server Cluster database. SSIS was used to integrate systems to the data warehouse. This also served as a central repository for transformation maps. The solution included process logging and error reporting. SSRS was used to build report templates with an integration into a custom portal to manage user access and requests.
