Aspirant Named Corporate Citizenship Award Winner

News

The Pittsburgh Business Times honored companies in Pennsylvania for “outstanding philanthropic contributions and collaborative relationships with nonprofit, civic and government organizations”.

Aspirant, a Pittsburgh-based global management consulting and technology firm, announced today that the Pittsburgh Business Times has named it as a 2018 Corporate Citizenship Award winner. The 2018 Corporate Citizenship Awards honors individuals and companies in western Pennsylvania for “outstanding philanthropic contributions and collaborative relationships with nonprofit, civic and government organizations.”

Aspirant was honored in October of this year in a special supplement in the Pittsburgh Business Times, through online coverage, and at an awards program, which occurred on Thursday, October 4, 2018, at the Westin Convention Center Hotel from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. The awards were presented to companies and people responsible for “significant, positive impacts on the community through volunteer work, in-kind donations, and cash contributions, and have embraced corporate philanthropy as part of company culture.”

“We are excited to have this giving philosophy as a tenant of Aspirant’s culture, and to be recognized with other nonprofit, civic, and government organizations in Pennsylvania,” said Aspirant President Mike McClaine. “Over the past few years, we have developed a close relationship with various philanthropic organizations, specifically around raising awareness of and helping prevent domestic abuse through our ‘Connection of Hope’ campaign. As one part of this campaign, our Technology Solutions team has developed two domestic violence intervention apps: RUSafe for Women’s Center & Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh in the U.S., and Bright Sky for Hestia in the UK. These initiatives utilize Aspirant’s work at the forefront of technology and mobile applications to positively impact a cause to changes lives.”

The October 4 event started with a non-profit showcase where each of this year’s award winners has asked a non-profit that is particularly important to them to display their organization. Aspirant has chosen the Women’s Center and Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh as its non-profit organization. Following the showcase will be a seated lunch and awards presentation.

Other organizations nominated for the award include BNY Mellon, Chevron, Edgar Snyder & Associates, FedEx Ground, Giant Eagle, Allegheny Health Network, HRT Solutions, K&L Gates, Koppers, NexTier Bank, and PwC.

Aspirant partners with business leaders to implement practical solutions to their most critical strategic, technological, and talent-related challenges.
